ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Prostitution is becoming more common in St. Cloud. Women and children are the victims of human trafficking. “Breaking free” is a non-profit organization out of St. Paul aimed to stop prostitution. They organized a forum on April 26th in St. Cloud. The forum will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the discussion and group.
Being a prostitute is not the profession that one chooses with her interest. Women and children are coerced to be in the sex trafficking. Sometimes women are threatened for their children and family whereas; children are kidnapped to be in the sex work.
Jennifer Hintz, a member of ‘Breaking free’ said, “Most women are trafficked into prostitution or sex work between the ages of 12 and 14. Women and children who are trafficked in Minnesota specifically in St. Cloud, they are forced or coerced to be in this profession.”
If a woman is forced for the physical relationship rape as an abusive behavior takes place. This kind of behavior mostly happens between relatives or family. There is not a single story that has taken place in Minnesota. Almost innocent women are sole for trafficking especially in St. Cloud.
Breaking free, the non-profit organization have been helping those women to stand for their right and inspired to move further in their life.
