Garvey spring picnic

by

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Garvey holds the spring picnic at St. Cloud State’s students as a farewell dinner yesterday. With the variety of food items students were enjoying the sunny day outside the Garvey.

Along with food there were drinks, music, and DJ to hit the floor for the students. It was a fun day for everyone to welcome summer with friends.
The party with the barbeque, music, and friends was the great combination to enjoy a beautiful day.
Joanie Otto, resident dining manager said, “For an every spring semester we hold picnic outside the Garvey as a farewell dinner to our students. We love our students and they loved us too. We got many positive comments from our students and they loved our food, so I really appreciate to them. Thank you very much to them.”
Serving different meal in different area with different style makes a very big difference in the students, said Otto.
This semester a day was chosen perfect for doing spring picnic. There was always an option in the past year for holding a picnic outside because of the unpredicted weather condition. But this time the day was sunny, so Garvey did not need to set up inside.
Around 1700 students came in this picnic. With the meal plan they were estimated to come almost 1200 to 1500 students but due to unused cashiering machine there were more people on the ground.
Having a spring picnic in the beautiful weather is the message of goodbye to winter.
