ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud farmers say the drought doesn’t affect them. They say because of the semi-frequent rain this month crops weren’t affected by the recent drought. More than half of the U.S. is in some phase of a drought right now. Meteorologist Zach Henderson says, “We define drought as an anomaly we have recorded over the past hundred years.” According to the U.S. department of agriculture, “as of July 10th the U.S. drought monitor places most of the U.S. in the moderate drought rate.”
