Gagliardi calls it quits

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – A longtime legendary coach has decided to hang up his headset. St. John’s University Head Football Coach John Gagliardi announced his retirement this afternoon at a press conference in Collegeville.

The iconic coach roamed the sidelines for 64 years, the last 60 of which were at St. John’s. Gagliardi amassed 489 victories in his career, the most of any coach at the collegiate level.

The Hall of Famer received plenty of congratulations including a response from the White House.
